ABOUT
The Miss Juneteenth North Carolina Pageant is an empowerment pageant and the first state-wide pageant that presents a delegate to compete in the Miss Juneteenth USA pageant, that celebrates the changing of our history as African Americans through the Emancipation proclamation, that since 2022, is now celebrated as the national holiday "Juneteenth."
Each contestant’s platform brings to light the value of the heart and soul of the North Carolina African American young lady, and gives her opportunity to learn more about North Carolina’s history and the people that mattered in the recognition of Juneteenth.

The purpose of the Miss Juneteenth NC pageant is to uplift the young ladies in this region, and encourage them to walk in confidence, thrive in power, and be an influence of positivity our ancestors were, that will ultimately empower and strengthen in our culture to BLESS our beloved community! ​
requirements
MUST BE A RESIDENT OF NC
MUST BE 14.5 – 18 YEARS OF AGE
MUST BE AFRICAN AMERICAN, OR OF AFRICAN DESCENT
MUST HOLD AT LEAST A “B’ AVERAGE
MUST IDENTIFY AS A NATURAL BORN FEMALE
MUST BE ABLE TO COMPETE in the Juneteenth USA Pageant
